I'm writing this brief post, well, ex post facto, because I realized there was a pretty big gap in posts between the start of August and October. What was I up to during that time?
Short answer: I was working like crazy. I was onboarding several new employees. I was on a crazy whirlwind of a work trip, first to Marietta, Georgia working with the F-22 team for a week, then supporting a C-130 event, then flying through DFW without going home, and onto Australia. There, my colleague and I worked for two weeks with the team doing F-35 mods. I took advantage of the opportunity and extended my stay in Australia for a week of vacation with Sam in Tasmania. Below is a video of my adventures.
I was barely home before flying off to LA for my third trip to Camp Hollywood. While there, my friend and former colleague, Basil, gave me an insider tour of Anduril and ambushed me with his recruiting efforts. I decided "just to look" and found a job posting that looked like it was written for me, applied and interviewed. Meanwhile, I continued dancing, and I was going through a lot emotionally which I didn't actually document much (which is weird for me). This year, like most years, has been full. But uniquely, I think I've done more emotional growing this year than I have in maybe decades.
